A Walk with Metatron – Natures Gift
Have you noticed that the Archangel Metatron is all around?
I thought I would tell a picture story. I had started to write a really heavy philosophical definition of Angels, the Elohim and dark forces. These are not the Angels of Angelic Reiki. Then I looked out of my window and saw the beauty of nature and decided to share that with you.
I am so lucky, whatever that means. I live in a beautiful Scottish wooded valley with a young tumbling river at the bottom of the garden. No, I did not do affirmations and visualisation, instead it found me. The house and ‘garden’ actually belong to my son but he and his partner want to live somewhere else at the moment, so I am here. It is an unbelievable blessing.
It’s a grey, wet, cold day at the end of winter but look at the beauty and abundance.
The Archangel Metatron is all around me.
On many Angel cards there is the geometric design known as Metatron’s Cube and also The Flower of Life.
All of the geometric shapes that represent the pattern or construction of creation are part of ‘Sacred Geometry’. Many ancient philosophers studied the area of mathematics known as Sacred Geometry and regarded it as representing the pattern of creation. The philosopher, teacher and Mathematician, Pythagoras that we have all heard of in our Maths lessons is quoted as saying that, ‘God must have had a Maths lesson before he could have stared creation’.
In the 2-day workshop ‘The Wisdom of Metatron’, which I will teach later this year, I show how Sacred Geometry is a more accurate representation of the Archangel Metatron than pictures with human bodies. Do look out for this, it is magical and fun.
Back to my garden, and why we walk with Metatron when we walk in nature.
Everything in creation is an aspect or extension of Metatron’s Cube and the Flower of Life. Everything that is natural is built on Divine Design- period. It may be a line, a triangle, circle or spiral like our DNA. Two triangular pyramids create a star tetrahedron and together with the other basic shapes are the fundamental building blocks of creation.
When you go for a walk or jog in nature go alone if you can, or go in silence. Invite nature to connect with you in the same way that we do a healing exchange. Gaze at the patterns and shapes and colours. Perhaps use the feeling body technique and feel with your consciousness and with touch, listen to the sounds, smell and taste the air.
If you do not have access to nature plants in your living space are equally an expression of creation, of Metatron. The size of these plants does not matter. Let all life nurture you.

We are energy, aren’t we? Most of us understand this fundamental truth. We are bundles of energy, and it’s commonly believed that we need an equivalent energy to thrive and be happy, isn’t it? Perhaps not.
Many people assume that to comprehend love, we require something or someone external because we feel incomplete—maybe that missing piece, that person who illuminates our lives with light and warmth, etcetera.
Love—an energy transcending words, simply existing, just there! It isn’t about absence; it simply is.
This energy of love can be discovered anywhere and everywhere, be it in an animal, a plant, or a person. But before we can fully perceive and feel the love that surrounds us, we must first love ourselves in this manner. When that self-love blossoms, the sense of lacking diminishes, and the need to possess fades away. In life, we possess neither things nor people; everything we have is merely what we require to live. What defines us as individuals is our actions, the paths we choose, even when those paths are strewn with obstacles that tempt us to surrender.
It might seem easier to yield, to let our heads drop and stop moving forward. It’s more challenging to lift our heads up and keep going when things are difficult, ESPECIALLY if things are difficult. But why? For what reason? You might ask. The answer is simple: for ourselves, for our happiness. That’s what we live for—to find joy.
At times, it feels like we’re suffocating, like the ground is slipping away from under us. But these sensations are nothing more than the whims of our minds. We live in a world rife with prejudices and prejudiced individuals, often allowing ourselves to be guided by the notions planted in our minds. Only through deep introspection can we realize that we’re living our lives according to others’ beliefs.
Some may shake their heads in disagreement, asserting that it’s not the case, that it’s their life and no one else’s. But is it truly? How often do we pause to ponder whether our perspectives on life, on the world, are genuinely our own or merely borrowed from others? Reflect on this for a moment, as it can utterly transform your life. You’ll come to realize that our outlooks are often vastly different.
Returning to the topic of love—so much has been said about it, often in conjunction with pain, loss, and suffering, portraying it as something inherently agonizing. “Love hurts,” how many times have we heard this refrain? Too many, from my vantage point.
But love isn’t synonymous with suffering; it fills our souls. However, we can only experience love in its entirety when we detach from the notion that love equates to possession—that somehow, we own love. Love, like many other aspects of life, cannot be possessed; it’s felt, and it’s liberating. True love thrives in freedom; it’s the very essence of freedom itself.

Before he was himself a master, Hakuin went to master Shoju to demonstrate his knowledge of Zen.
When Shoju asked him what he knew, Hakuin pretended to vomit and announced, “Anything I can find I will expel from me.” Shoju, however, was unimpressed. He tweaked Hakuin firmly on the nose and said, “What is this? Have I not found something after all?”
The master showed Hakuin he still had a concept of I and me. Truly a burden.

Imitating me won’t get you anywhere.
My mind isn’t the same as yours. When your mind is the same as mine, you will be here.
Hanshan.
The master points out to the student that to imitate a master of Zen is pointless. The desire to do so comes from a mind that is in comparison, that sees this and that, has identity. Buddha-mind is boundless without qualities.
